Future Perfect, the Trust's 12 seater passenger launch has been on the River Tone since Friday 20 August.
You can now take a relaxing trip on the River and see Taunton from a new angle! Trips will be running most days from 10.30am to 4pm. They will take about 25 minutes and cost £3 for adults and £2 for children. Click here for a copy of our schedule for trips on the river.

Up to now we have been unable to bring Future Perfect in to Taunton because of the accumulation of silt by the lock at Firepool. Extended negotiations with British Waterways and the Environment Agency are gradually moving towards getting the silt moved but the summer is slipping by. We tried to launch her from her trailer on one of the slipways in the River but the only suitable one is out of action due to the new road being built in the town centre.
With two important events coming up, the Friends of French Weir Day on Sunday 22 August and Project Taunton's Long Run Meadows open day on Saturday 28 August, the Trust decided that the only way to overcome the problems was to use a crane to lift Future Perfect into the river.
This will happen on Friday, and for the next 10 days she will be tied up alongside Dellers Wharf, with the kind permission of Koko 241 Leisure ltd.
