Members Day at Bathpool

On Saturday, a steady stream of SWDT members arrived at Bathpool for their first opportunity see Future Perfect close up. All were agreed that she is a fantastic asset to the Trust and we can't wait to get started using her for boat trips.

It was great to see the enthusiasm amongst trust members young and not so young, and a number of new volunteers came forward to help in various ways.  That included helping to clean out and tidy the Trust's display unit which is stored at Bathpool.

Before we start the boat service we need to get the volunteer crew members trained and familiar with the operating procedures specific to Future Perfect. The electrical systems are quite complicated, so we are developing some step by step guides to make sure that she is looked after properly.

We are planning a formal launch event on Friday 30th April, when everyone who has supported this project will be invited along. We are not sure of the venue yet, but we issue publicity shortly.

Thanks to everyone who helped out on Saturday. It was a great day for the Trust. Here are some pictures.
