River Tone Community Trip Boat

The River Tone navigation community trip boat project will provide a purpose built electric launch, based on the River Tone in Taunton, to be managed and run by Somerset Waterways Development Trust volunteers.

The Upper Parrett Waterway Project is under way to clarify and formalise navigation rights on the River Parrett and its tributaries between Langport and Muchelney.
With a grant from South Somerset District Council, the Trust has employed a specialist consultant to review the existing situation and to advise on the best way preserve and sustain navigation rights.

The Otter 26 is a beatifully proportioned boat with fibreglass hull and timber deck and cabin. It is a brand new design and our boat was the first on the production line. Here are some photographs of the boat during construction.
